ExaMAX® backplane cable assemblies (EBCMEBCF) utilize Samtec’s Flyover® technology.

Routes the signal above lossy PCB via Eye Speed® ultra low skew twinax cable for improved bandwidth and extended reach. With direct solder attach to the contacts, the signal path is optimized and performance enhanced to achieve 112 Gbps PAM4.

Available in 30 and 34 AWG cable with 24 to 72 signal pairs, ExaMAX® cable assemblies are highly customizable with multiple end 2 options.

  • Mid-Board
  • Panel

ExaMAX® Backplane Connectors –

ExaMAX® backplane connectors are capable of 56 Gbps PAM4, with a modular design for design flexibility. The signal wafer design features staggered differential pairs with a one-piece embossed ground structure to reduce crosstalk. Additionally, two points of contact and fully protected terminals ensure a reliable connection with stub-free mating.

With up to 72 differential pairs (4 and 6 pairs; 6, 8, 10 and 12 columns), ExaMAX® connectors are intermateable with ExaMAX® cable assemblies for increased architectural flexibility.

  • Traditional backplane (EBTM/EBTF-RA)
  • Traditional with guidance and power modules
  • Direct-Mate Orthogonal (EBDM-RA)
